Introduction to Lake/Flatwater Kayaking
This class is designed to get you started in kayaking. We will spend time off and on the the water learning many basic skills including; how to lift, carry and load your kayak, how to enter and exit your
boat, proper gear for various conditions, paddle strokes to get you where you want to go, basic recovery skills to get back in your boat should you capsize,
safety considerations and much more. This is a 5 hour class and will have a
maximum of 8 students per class

Basic paddle Strokes
Have a new kayak? Thinking about buying a kayak? Having trouble controlling
your kayak on the water? This is the class for you. We will introduce you to a variety of strokes that will make your paddling experience much more enjoyable. You
will learn and practice an efficient forward stroke, reverse strokes, turning strokes,
feathered v un-feathered and lateral strokes. We will also address basic bracing skills. This is a 2 1/2 hour class and will be limited to 8 students per class.

Bracing & Rescue Skills
How to keep your kayak upright and what to do if you are unsuccessful ! This is a fun class that involves quite a bit of time spent in the water. You will learn how to perform both low braces, high braces and maybe even
extended paddle braces. You will also learn many different rescues and recoveries
strategies that will give you confidence to paddle in many different places and situations. This is a 2 1/2 hour class and will be limited to 8 students per class.
Cost: $50.00 per person
