Tour FAQ's
What if I've never kayaked before?
No problem, we'll teach you. These tours are meant to be fun, safe and easy.
What do we bring?
Kayaking is a water sport so you might get wet.
We recommend you bring the following:
Sunscreen
Sunglasses with strap
Hat
Sandals, water shoes or old sneakers
Light windbreaker or rain jacket if cool or wet
Shorts and tee shirts are perfect on nice summer days
Do we paddle in the rain?
Yes and no. We will do the tour if it rains but if you choose not to participate you may reschedule or request a refund. Paddling in the rain only requires the addition of a light rain jacket to your “things to bring list”. Some of our best paddles have been in the rain!
Why would a tour be canceled?
Wind, Lightning, Thunder.
Where do we go?
We really have no set routes. It’s up to the guide to decided the best route for the tour on any given day.
Will we go ashore at all?
No. Our three hour tours are not long enough to put ashore. The kayaks are very comfortable and we will stop paddling and drift now and then during the tour.
Will we see any wildlife?
It’s up to the wildlife :)). The wildlife is very diverse in, around and above the lake. You may see bald eagles, osprey, blue herons, geese, grebes, mergansers, various species of ducks, deer and many others.
Can I bring a camera or binoculars?
You may if you would like. We would suggest that you purchase a disposable waterproof camera prior to going on the tour. We will provide binoculars

"I just wanted to thank you again for the great time that my wife Susan, daughter Megan and I had kayaking on Lake Coeur d'Alene. I'm now using the picture you e-mailed to us as the background on my computer here at work. Thanks again. I look forward to going out paddling with you in the future!"
